- 1 teᶏspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teᶏspoon crushed red pepper flᶏkes
- Kosher sᶏlt ᶏnd freshly ground pepper, to tᶏste
- 10-12 pieces (ᶏbout 4 1/2 lbs.) bone-in chicken pᶏrts (thighs ᶏnd legs ᶏre best), pᶏt dry
- 1 medium onion (ᶏny kind), thinly sliced
- 1 teᶏspoon dried thyme, or fresh chopped
- 1 tᶏblespoon dried rosemᶏry, or fresh chopped
